Hey, everyone! Amy's doing an amazing job with this blog; I just wanted to add my two cents on the fun-a-day process.
It's been oddly liberating to feel justified in prioritizing art-making in my crazy, busy life. Usually I'll push aside the creative process in favor of more "pressing" demands on my time, but this month I've been saying to myself, "I HAVE to paint a jellyfish. It's fun-a-day!" I've been feeling like a proud mama whenever I look at the growing pile of paintings on my desk. I've also been running into people all over town who are excited to talk about their fun-a-day projects--comics, origami, journal entries, photographs, something top-secret involving a baby (??)--we even have rumors of some small people drawing trucks every day. You'd better be sure that you're at the Nightlight on March 13th to see all of this amazing art. Keep up the great work, you lovely artists you, and drop us an email at funadaync at gmail if you have any questions or want to share your brilliant ideas on our blog.
Keep your eyes peeled for a sneak preview of some paintings, as soon as I can overcome my Luddite tendencies and learn how to use this scanner.
